Enjoying the Countryside Around Lindsell
We are very fortunate that the countryside surrounding Lindsell has beautiful views and easy-to-navigate public rights of way, shown on the attached map (click here).
Whether you are walking or riding, we hope you enjoy exploring this special landscape.
A Little Bit of History
The network of public rights of way you see today is ancient - many of these footpaths are hundreds, and possibly thousands, of years old.
They date back to a time long before cars, when most people travelled only short distances from home. Walking - or sometimes riding - was the main way to get to work, visit neighbours, or attend market.
When you use these paths, you are quite literally walking through history.
 Please Remember
These public rights of way pass through working farmland.
The fields you cross are privately owned and are used to:
- Grow crops
- Graze animals
- Support local farming families
Farmers work hard to care for this land, and we ask that all visitors help protect it.
 So Please:
- Keep to the marked paths shown on the map
- Close gates behind you
- Leave livestock undisturbed
- Keep dogs under close control
- Take your litter home
- Respect crops and avoid trampling planted areas
 Thank You
By showing care and consideration, you help preserve these historic paths and the beautiful countryside around Lindsell for everyone to enjoy.
Have a wonderful walk or ride!
